Position Description
Performs administrative and coordinative work in direct support of Administrative and Medical Directors, including such functions as planning, coordinating schedules and completing reports. Performs responsible and complex office support duties, thus relieving the administrator of these duties. Work is performed under administrative supervision with evaluation based on results obtained.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Supports the Values-Based Culture of Texas Tech University Health Science Center.
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental safety policies and procedures.
  • Functions as a receptionist.
  • Proficient with PC Computer usage; including accuracy in keyboarding, familiarity with Microsoft computer programs and ability to multi-task. Extensive data entry on all computer systems. Follow TTUHSC computer security guidelines. 
  • Admission and discharge of patients: collects and charts pertinent information and copies appropriate documents. 
  • Assists with patient scheduling and appointments.
  • Maintains patient records, including logs, labeling, scanning, filing. 
  • Chart review: complete all documentation and duties within required time frame and in appropriate fashion. 
  • Orders supplies.
  • Attends required meetings and trainings
