Position Description
Performs skilled mechanical and/or analytical duties in the coordination and completion of projects. Work is performed under general guidelines using established procedures and evaluated on results obtained. May supervise subordinate employees.

Major/Essential Functions
Schedule patients for laboratory services and EKG utilizing EMR & FORVUS.
Collect various specimens, with CMP's being fasting.
Giving critical lab values or cultures to ordering physician.
Provide HIV post counseling for CID department and completed HIV pre-release testing.
Maintains supplies and lab equipment.
Report non-functioning equipment to proper person as found.
Perform EKG's.


Occasional Duties

Other duties as assigned.



Required Qualifications
High school or equivalent and four years experience. Additional job related education may substitute for required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
Licensure for phlebotomy
Knowledgeable with performing lab draws, sending labs, and EKG performance
Experience in a prison setting preferred.
Computer Experience
CPR Certification
