Position Description
Performs responsible and complex duties associated with a specialized function of a section of clerical employees in a correctional institution

Major/Essential Functions

Checks access to care through EMR. Ensures protected health information (PHI) is scanned into EMR. Copies records for patient liaison, attorney general, and others who are authorized to receive and/or review PHI. Run PULHES updates and expired passes. Schedules patients for appointments through EMR & enters SCR into EMR. Acts as courier to facilitate the EMR operation. Processes patients through EMR. Pull dental charts for next day appointments. Performs all other health information tasks as necessary. Schedules and completes paperwork for offender Record Reviews. Performs Chart analysis on all appointments and all documentation from the chart completion module.

Occasional Duties
As assigned.

Required Qualifications
Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Three years progressively responsible clerical experience. Additional education and/or related experience to equal three years may substitute on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
Electronic Medical Records experience.
Basic computer.
