Position Description
Performs responsible and complex duties associated with a specialized function of a section of clerical employees in a correctional institution

Major/Essential Functions
  • Contacts vendors, request bids, prepares purchase orders to order equipment and supplies utilizing institutional and state purchasing regulations and procedures
  • Receive shipments from vendors
  • Process invoices for payment
  • Maintain purchasing files for pending and paid orders
  • Prepare travel arrangements for RMF staff and prepare vouchers
  • Prepare vouchers for reimbursement for RMF faculty/staff

Occasional Duties
  • Performs other duties as required by supervisor

Required Qualifications
Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Three years progressively responsible clerical experience. Additional education and/or related experience to equal three years may substitute on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Knowledge of filing and office procedures
  • Proficient computer skills in Word, Access and Outlook
  • An ability to interact effectively
  • CPR
  • Knowledge of Purchasing and Travel procedures
