Position Description
Analyzes and coordinates office services such as personnel, budget preparation and control, fiscal affairs, equipment utilization, records control, and special management studies.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental safety policies and procedures.
  • Prepares various other reports as needed, to include Hire/Term, Filled/Vacant, Shift Differential reports.
  • Prepares monthly general ledger and financial reports as needed.
  • Review physician, ambulance, and major prosthesis claims for accuracy of codes used. Approve claims for payment accurately coded.
  • Review hospital claims for accuracy of codes used. Approve claims for payment accurately coded.
  • Prepare denial letter to provider for claims inaccurately coded.
  • Staff verification by use of BANNER.
  • Additional internal reports/duties.
  • Review denial appeals from providers.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required plus five years progressively responsible related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
State Agency Financial and Accounting experience preferred. Access database experience preferred. Previous experience in medical field preferred.
