Position Description
Performs coordinative work in the business or administrative operation of a specific department or college. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a department as well as the monitoring operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise staff or student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions
Drafts memos, reports, presentations and business correspondence on behalf of the Senior Managing Director and Senior Leadership team.
Synthesizes information and prepares concise executive-level summaries.
Conducts internal and external research. Able to apply mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations when needed. Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions for presentation to leadership team.
Manages special projects as assigned, adhering to budget, schedule, scope and departmental procedures.
Serves as primary point of contact for the Senior Managing Director’s office. Represents the office and the institution in a professional manner.
Coordinates day-to-day administrative activities including calendar, telephone, and travel for Senior Leadership team.
Maintains a positive and effective working relationship with staff in all CMHC, TTUHSC and TDCJ offices. Proactively assists others as needed.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or progressively responsible related experience to equal six (6) years.

Preferred Qualifications
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize, and establish priority of objectives. Ability to work independently, taking initiative to advance projects.
